An information day took place in Brussels on 4 May to present the recently-launched first Call for Proposals for SESAR 2020 Exploratory Research projects, under the umbrella of the EU’s Horizon 2020 Research Framework Programme and its “Smart, Green and Integrated Transport” activities.

Launched by the SESAR Joint Undertaking, this first SESAR 2020 Call for Proposals has a total maximum budget of EUR 20.6 Million to co-finance research projects on 11 research topics within two areas, namely ATM Excellent Science & Outreach and ATM Applications-Oriented Research.

The information day provided an overview of the SESAR 2020 Programme, focusing in particular on the Exploratory Research strand and the areas covered by the first call. The information day was also an opportunity for would-be applicants to find out more about the Horizon 2020 eligibility and evaluation criteria and programme management.
