On August 9th, a delegation of 9 senior managers from Chinese civil and military ATFM organisations visited the SESAR JU. They were briefed on Single European Sky and were updated on the main characteristics of the SESAR Programme such as the PPP (Public Private Partnership) approach and the concept of SESAR Releases that will deliver early results as from this year. Finally they got an in-depth view into the evolution of ATFM towards a more user-driven management with new concepts being promoted and tested in SESAR such as business trajectory, controlled time of arrival and demand capacity balancing. On-going contacts between the Chinese ATM authorities and SESAR JU are being maintained on an informal basis to exchange views on ATM evolution on a global scale.
