SESAR aims to triple the capacity of civilian airports in Europe.

The ATM technology developed through the R&D programme will contribute to more direct flight paths and smoother, more rapid descents, reducing noise and other environmental impacts.

Several large consortia of airport operators, such as SEAC  and ENAIRE, are already SESAR members while ACI Europe represents a important Stakeholder.
