SESAR will be showcasing the ComplexWorld network at this year’s ISIATM conference – the 2nd International Conference on Interdisciplinary Science for Innovative Air Traffic Management. The purpose of the Conference is to bring together scientists (mainly from academia), engineers, and practitioners from around the world to assist in the development of the knowledge base necessary to improve future Air Traffic Management systems around the world.

This year, the Conference is organised as part of four coordinated events:

  1. Second ISIATM (Interdisciplinary Science for Innovative Air Traffic Management) focuses on mathematics, operations research and human factors for ATM. It is co-organised by ENAC and Embry-Riddle with a scientific committee including CAUC, MIT, Eurocontrol, Georgia Tech and Poly Montreal.

  2. Fourth ATOS (Air Transport and Operations Symposium) focussing on air transport integration and environmental impact, air transport economy, life cycle and airline, airport and ATM operations. It is principally organised by TU Delft.

  3. Fourth ASDA Seminar focussing on Future ATM. ASDA is the Association for the Scientific Development of ATM in Europe, gathering universities and research establishments with strong activities in ATM research.

  4. ComplexWorld 2013 Seminar focussing on managing complexity in ATM. Addressing complexity science, creative and interdisciplinary concepts that could impact future ATM systems.

The event will welcome more than 200 people from Europe, USA, Asia and Russia. It will be a unique opportunity to gather the whole air transport and ATM research community from universities, research centres, industry and other air transport stakeholders.
