SESAR’s R&D work on Meteorological Information Services (Work Package 11.2) - led by the EUMETNET Consortium - aims to better integrate meteorological information into ATM decision making and to minimise the disruptive effect of weather.

Within SESAR, a number of professional staff associations, including the European Cockpit Association (ECA), actively participate in SESAR projects, sharing the views of their members.

The following article describes ECA’s vision, from a pilot perspective, for weather and the work of 11.02 in SESAR.
