A SESAR SWIM Registry has been established to support and promote the uptake of System Wide Implementation Management (SWIM), enabling cost-effective and agile ATM information exchange between aviation stakeholders. The platform does so by gathering all the necessary information required for the creation of SWIM services, and for making existing software SWIM compliant. With more than 500 users, the Registry currently has information on some 10 applications and 30 services addressing the weather, aeronautical information, network management, flight radar and surveillance. The services were registered in support of the SESAR SWIM Masterclass 2015, the SESAR SWIM Global Demonstration 2016 and future SESAR PCP deployment activities.
The Registry includes both service descriptions and reference material on applicable SWIM standards, policies and certifications. It enables a common view on SWIM by all parties; information service providers, consumers and regulatory authorities.
Once logged in, users can browse the following areas:
- Service implementations and Application software (list of services and applications available in SWIM)
- Reference Models (common models for the implementation of services i.e. ISRM, and information structures i.e. AIRM)
- Standards (e.g. AIXM, WXXM, FIXM)
- Policies (constraints to be respected in SWIM for security or other purposes)
- Compliance declaration (conformity levels of the implementations)
- Participants (e.g. service providers)
