FAIR STREAM: FABEC ANSPs and airlines participate in SESAR Trials for Enhanced Arrival Management
Type: concepts
Countries: Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland
Domains: TMA
Description
These demonstration exercises are using Target Time of Arrival (TTA) instead of Calculated Take Off Time (CTOT) as a Demand and Capacity Balancing measure to contribute to the traffic sequencing and i4D (extended AMAN and i4D/ Controlled Time of Arrivals (CTA)).
The flight trials include the pre-flight phase, the En-route phase, and the arrival when entering in the AMAN horizon, in the FABEC area.
Benefits
Provide more precise and realistic traffic sequencing to:
- Increase runway capacity
- Reduce delays
- Lower fuel costs for airlines
- Decrease CO2 emissions & noise.
Participants
- DSNA
- DFS
- Skyguide
- Air France
- Lufthansa
- SWISS
- Airbus Prosky
