The SESAR Joint Undertaking (SESAR JU) and the FAA’s NextGen Programme will participate at Paris Air Lab, an innovative space within this year’s International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget from 19-25 June.
Throughout the week, industrial leaders, research platforms, space agencies and start-ups will present their projects for aerospace’s future and share their collaborative work.
The SESAR JU and NextGen will host a joint exhibition, whereby visitors can find out more about these two leading modernisation programmes and their joint efforts to ensure interoperability and harmonisation in global air traffic management. Specifically the exhibition will illustrate how the EU-US collaboration is enabling a move from a very manual and purely ground-based ATM system, using radar and voice communications, to achieving an integrated air-ground aviation and ATM system using higher levels of automation, satellite-based navigation and digital data communications.
