AUTOPACE, a SESAR exploratory research project is organising an event to present its findings about the impact of automation on air traffic controllers. The event will take place on 5 March at ENAIRE premises (Madrid, Spain) from 10:00 to 18:00.

This Dissemination Event complements the workshop held in Belgrade on 27 November providing more details and new consolidated results. AUTOPACE is a project (Grant 699238) funded by the SESAR Joint Undertaking as part of SESAR 2020 Exploratory Research Programme within the framework of the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

Based on established psychological attentional theories, AUTOPACE has researched a psychological model to predict the effects of automation on Air Traffic Controller (ATCo) performance and has identified new ATCo competences, training strategies and system design to mitigate potential adverse safety effects of automation on human.
