An SESAR open day on remote tower centres with flexible allocation of aerodromes to multiple remote tower modules will take place on 12 December in Braunschweig, Germany.
The open day is organised by DLR (AT-One Consortium) in collaboration with Frequentis AG and the Lithuanian ANSP Oro Navigacija as part of the SESAR PJ.05 project "Remote Tower for Multiple Airports".
The open day will present a recent validation exercise (PJ-05 EXE-05.03-V2-3.1 ), which focuses on the splitting and merging of aerodromes into a multiple remote tower module (mRTM) to deal with overload, emergency or any other disturbing event to balance workload and situational awareness.
