SESAR is moving forward. Two years after the technical kick-off of the research and development programme, the SESAR Joint Undertaking together with its members and partners delivered the first concrete results. Throughout 2011, a set of operational validation exercises took place all over Europe, supplying the Air Traffic Management community with new or improved technological solutions at pre-industrialisation stage, ready for deployment.
The 2011 Annual Report of the SESAR Joint Undertaking features not only a summary of these Release 1 results, but also an overview of the progress made at work package level and more information on cooperation with international partners or the update of the European ATM Master Plan.
