The use of advanced technologies to modernise aviation and ATM is at the heart of SESAR’s digitalisation strategy. The SJU has funded a number of research projects which have applied AI to address a plethora of issues in ATM, aiming to reshape the future of aviation. A selection of exploratory and industrial research project results were presented, providing a flavour of concrete benefits AI is starting to bring to aviation.
