The SESAR AURA project is pleased to invite you to the virtual Open Day organised by Indra, within Solution 1, focused on ATM and U-space operating safely through SWIM middleware. Save the date!
During solution 1 we have been working hard and united over 4 different clusters to define the ATM/U-space interface by identifying the necessary data exchanges between ATM and U-Space systems, defining the necessary information to be shared.
A common set of services has been validated in every cluster through several use cases, in order to guarantee the interoperability between the information exchanges. Real-time simulations and Live-Virtual experiments have been developed involving actual drone flights with manned simulated traffic and controllers in the loop.
Thanks to the participation of different partners in each cluster, it has been possible to go more deeply into the different key points regarding ATM-U-space collaboration covering a broad variety of ATC systems and practices across Europe.
In this case, it is the turn to present to you the progress and achievements of Cluster 1 by Indra in collaboration with Airbus and Frequentis.
These real time simulations are focused on the identification and definition of a set of services, performing different information exchanges between ATM- U-space and vice versa.
The performed cluster is divided into three different runs/iterations:
-
The first one is focused from the simplest environment of a flight authorisation approval and activation process, to the interruption of an UAS operation due to a helicopter emergency or trajectory deviation.
-
The second iteration focuses on the strategic deconfliction of USSPs, involving two USSP architectures sending different operation plans. Moreover, the generation of a conflict alert with a manned aircraft has been also evaluated through this exercise.
-
Finally, the third iteration explores international UAS missions, involving two countries, one within controlled airspace and the other within uncontrolled airspace. The whole operating plan process has been validated together with the impact of conflict alerts entailing manned aircrafts.
During the session, you will have the opportunity to learn in detail about the use cases and how each of our exercises has been validated.
Register here to attend the virtual session and discover all the details of this cluster!
