Within next decade, regional-scale innovative air mobility (IAM) services will be part of the European mobility ecosystem, helping to address regional connectivity challenges. That is the vision that the project aims to support by developing a data analytics and modelling toolset for planning the integration of IAM infrastructure and services into regional multimodal transport networks. The project aims to provide set of recommendations for the implementation of regional IAM services, based on a cost-benefit analysis that anticipates the impacts of a large-scale deployment of IAM services across Europe.

The PRIAM project envisions a future where regional Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) services play a vital role in Europe’s transport networks. By utilising digital twins, AI tools, and shared mobility data, PRIAM aims to improve regional travel, making it more efficient, environmentally friendly, and seamless for passengers.

The PRIAM solution will analyse and predict passenger needs, plan resilient IAM infrastructure, and optimise service performance across regions. This will enable better integration of IAM services into existing transport networks, helping people travel more easily across multiple modes of transport.

PRIAM’s main objectives include:

  • Impact assessment – Developing a framework to evaluate IAM’s effectiveness in meeting regional travel needs.
  • Advanced toolset – Creating a data-driven tool for IAM planning and deployment, based on Europe’s SESAR system.
  • Regional Case Studies – Testing PRIAM in select European regions to showcase benefits like enhanced passenger experiences and environmental gains.
  • Strategic recommendations – Providing insights and recommendations for large-scale IAM rollout.
