On 23 October 2013, the EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre, together with SESAR partners, will host a demonstration to give non-ATM specialists an insider's view of SESAR solutions for accommodating the military’s operational needs in the Single European Sky framework.
Making the most of the “Flexible Use of Airspace” concept, the so-called “Mission Trajectory - Step1” offers a harmonised service for accommodating OAT flights across Europe.
At the demonstration, you will be presented with the main changes for preparing and executing a cross-border mission in a time-based environment.
The scenario will give details on how mission planning activities, combined with airspace management, can lead to effective flight planning. It will also show how flexible airspace allocation, mission/flight planning and ATC functions are interlinked.
