The report outlines the results of the SESAR 2020 research and innovation (R & I) programme. It captures the achievements from 2015 to 2023, reports on the use of the funds allocated to the programme and draws lessons and identifies challenges in view of a successful implementation of the Digital European Sky programme, SESAR 2020’s successor.

The purpose of this document is to: 

1. highlight the added value of SESAR 2020 R & I activities upon the closure of the programme; 

2. report on the use of the funds allocated to SESAR 2020; 

3. outline lessons to be drawn from the Digital European Sky programme.
