With SESAR 1 activities coming to a close, the SESAR JU organised an event that showcased and acknowledged the achievements of the first SESAR programme, demonstrating that SESAR is already delivering tangible solutions to the aviation industry and society as a whole.
The event took place from 14-16 June at the Nemo Science Centre in Amsterdam. The event showcased SESAR work and results achieved to date, industry/stakeholder operational/business perspectives and experiences/expectations as well as what comes next in the SESAR programme, with a view on SESAR 2020, upcoming standardisation activities and the SESAR Deployment Programme.
The conference focussed on the achievements of SESAR over 4 main conference themes:
- More efficient Airports Operations
- Improving Network Management and flight planning
- Efficient flight operations and Air Navigation Service provision
- Enabling infrastructure and systems capabilities Enablers (e.g. CNS)
An exhibition also highlighted some of SESAR’s success stories in these areas.
